Take one step off this edge,
and you will either fly
or you will perish.
I think though,
what is most likely,
is that you will first perish,
then you will fly.
Or you can stay where you are,
stuck to that flat illusion of safety,
where you will simply coagulate
into a denser version
of what has already bored you to death,
bound you to death,
driven you here,
until you stand staring over the edge,
into certain loss
and hope afire.
