  1. You have three of my top favorite books EVER on that list! Telling Secrets inspired me to write memoir, Cry, the Beloved Country made my heart ache, and Gilead is just brilliant. Happy reading!

  4. You haven't read The Four Quartets OR Gilead yet? Tsk, tsk. Happy reading.

I am currently making my way through Michael O'Brien's _A Cry of Stone_. You would absolutely love it. It's a very long, very Catholic novel, but it's truly great Christian literature. And heaven knows that's in short supply these days.

  5. Now that I've finished _A Cry of Stone_, I must URGE you to check it out, as soon as possible. Some of the most beautiful stuff you'll ever read.
